Caroche1,
Welcome to BGW, and the very small Caroche family. I am looking forward to hearing the results of your tests.

I am also working on a Caroche based car, but decided to update to Solid State electronics.

Sometimes I wish I would have got it running with the stock system first just so I could have some comparisons. But I would have had to dump a bunch of time and money into the old system just to upgrade it later.

Good luck and looking forward to more pics of your Caroche.

My batteries were pretty low when I checked them.

So I picked up this charger cheep online. Doesn't seem to be automatic any advice so I don't over charge and or use incorrectly?

Make sure the timer works properly. If it doesn't, you'll need to babysit it.

Don't let the pack go below 50% SOC (36.3v).

When it's time to recharge, I would say 8-10 hours would be needed to bring them back to a full from 50% SOC. Less depletion obviously requires less charge time. Make sure that the timer actually works before leaving the charger unattended. I had an old charger like this once where the timer didn't work. In this case, you have to be very careful to make sure to unplug it when enough time has passed.
