1981 Electric 36 V Club Car not running.
I recently acquired a 1981 Club Car 6 volt battery operated (x6) golf cart from my father in law. Apparently a while ago, his sons lost the key and "hot wired" the cart......It ran like this for years. The last time the batteries were running low, he went to charge them, and sparks flew. Ever since then, wont run.. When charging, the lights work, but thats it. When trying to start, no noise or anything happens. I do not even know where to begin. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks. |

Welcome to BGW !!!
Start by getting a voltmeter and test the pack voltage. Do this at the charger receptacle and then take individual battery readings. Post that info here listing the battery readings #1 thru 6 and the total pack charge. |
