Default Can't find replacement for my old EZGO 36V motor

Hi there,

I have an old EZGO (Western) about 1991 I think. The GE motor has failed. I would appreciate any advice on finding a replacement in Australia. Would be very interested in buying a used replacement, from USA also.
Model number is 5BC48JB1061A

Look for a D297 replacement or substitute motor.

It is a series wound motor with a 19 spline coupler. In other words, anything that will fit an EZGO series drive made from 1988 to present will fit your cart, but might not have as much torque.

Ought to be a few used EZGO series drive motors floating around down under.

Nice offer, but it's about 9,200 miles from Australia to Texas.

Hi,
The cheapest quote I can get is for a new one and is ridiculously expensive, AND needs to be imported from the USA is any case. Seems there are no used golf cart dealers in Aussie. Perhaps I could ship yours to Aussie if the offer still stands. Happy to pay you for boxing it up. Cheers Tony my email is tvda@bigpond.com
