Adding headlight,tailight and cig lighter
I am thinking of adding a headlight, tailight and cig. lighter to my 72 D cart. The easy way would be to direct wire to the battery (with in-line fuses of course) and a switch on the foward panel. Anyone else done this? It appears that if I tapped off of the ignition switch, then I could have it only hot when the switch was on. thanks for your comments

Re: Adding headlight, tailight and cig lighter
The in comming power to the switch is hot all the time. When I wired my stereo I used the constant hot for memory and the switched to control the on/off.

Still I think you should use a relay for the headlight or lights because of the high amp draw.

Re: Adding headlight, tailight and cig lighter
On my '74 I wired headlamps (farm tractor utility lights) and tail lamps (trailer side marker lights) using a pull switch tapped of the key switch... lights will only work when the key is "on"... no problems.
