Default Replacing center console/cup holder with larger unit.

2015 EZGO Freedom RXV 48V. So I'm going to replace the factory center console/cup holder with the larger factory unit that has different cup sizes and a storage slot for my wife's cell phone. It looks like all you do is remove the three speed nuts off the plastic studs on the bottom and give it a good pull up and to the rear, to remove. Correct? Then just slide in the new one and reattach the three speed nuts. Am I missing anything here? Anything else need to be loosened or removed? I have been warned not to disturb or modify any wiring any the dash. This is just a cup holder/console change, I have solved my other 12vdc supply, so no wiring will be involved. THANKS!

I’m wanting to do the same thing. Not sure if there is more to it or not. Just wanting the new 2020 cup holder unit instead of the old correct?
Where are you buying?

Here's a pic and found it slightly cheaper.

I found it on e bay for $49.95 plus $12.95 shipping, but the other posts show it much cheaper.

I installed that same unit in my 2017 RXV about a month ago. It was a bit tight and had to cut away some of the plastic shroud inside the dash in order for it to go back in. Then I used a wood clamp to compress the unit into place while I put the bolts back on the 3 posts. It helped to have the front cowl off to see what was happening from the inside but not required. It's a much nicer cup holder than the standard one. Good luck!
