Default Accessories Question - New Icon I6

Hi All,

Been lurking for a while. We're taking the plunge and have decided on the Icon I6 for our Beach Town cruiser. :)

I have a few questions. First, we have the option to upgrade the batteries to "UPGRADED ( T-105 6 VOLT TROJAN BATTERIES WITH TOYOTA CONTROLLER SYSTEM" from what they list as standard "NEW TROJAN BATTERIES WITH TOYOTA CONTROLLER SYSTEM". Does that sound like a good upgrade? I do not know what the standard batteries are, but from reading this forum, it doesn't sound like the Toyota Controller is standard?

Anyone have experience with a 5 panel rear view? This will be driven in town (not neighborhood) so visibility is going to be important to me, but I've heard some of the five panels can fall apart?

There is also a hitch option we can add. Does anyone know what the weight that would hold would be? They sell a cargo tray for it, but I'm thinking more of using it for a bike rack.

One final accessory question - if we wanted to transport 1 or 2 surfboards with this vehicle, are there any options or add-ons for that?

I'm going to have more questions (especially around winterizing), but I appreciate any answers to these initial questions!

Thanks!

Jim

Hey jKinNJ..

Congrats ...I think by I6 you mean I60..

Here goes..all ICONs have a 350 ah Toyota controller known as NEO..
All ICONs have an Toyota electric motor standard..

The battery options are listed in the link below I60 datasheet..
hope that helps..

Is your dealer the only one nearby?

Doesn't sound like he gave you correct information.

Best wishes

I'm guessing the battery upgrade might be 6 8-volts to 8 6-volts, which is more capacity/range. Trojans are pretty typical in the carts.

They all have the Toyota controller. Either the 350amp or 450amp (CA mostly afaik).

I got this 5 panel mirror and had to bend the little metal tabs a little and it worked fine.

No clue on the hitch, but if you're just using a bike rack I'd think it'd be fine.

Surfboards - the simplest option is a roof rope tiedown type thing. https://www.amazon.com/Ho-Stevie-Sur.../dp/B0861BMBMB

or I've seen these put on golf carts somehow - https://www.amazon.com/Ho-Stevie-Sur...dp/B01KIOXBFS/
