Default Programming Discussion - Changes and Template

I wanted to start a thread to exclusively talk about the different programming settings and their effect. I've included a PUBLIC excel that anyone can edit.

That may get interesting, but we can put notes, add columns, whatever anyone wants and see how it goes.

I created an Excel template that matches the software and will make discussing and tracking your personal changes much easier.

NOTE: This template contains my current I60L settings vs factory I60L. So the OLD column contains MY settings and the NEW column contains factory settings. Non-lifted carts should have different settings.

There ARE OCR mistakes with some of the numbers I'm noticing! I focused more on the text and row numbers.

Some of my settings, I'm not even sure why I changed them, so don't assume they're all correct.

Template:

Public File Anyone Can Edit with notes:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DIW...ew?usp=sharing

This did not take me very long to do even if it looks like it, so there ARE some minor OCR mistakes that need fixed. I just screenshot, OCR'd, copy/paste, saved.

The rows I've modified are:
  • #40 - 62
  • #43 - 35
  • #45 - 7000
  • #47 - 2000
  • #50 - 20
  • #134 - 18
  • #148 - 40
  • #149 - 58.7
  • #150 - 59.5

#43 - This might end up being significant. I discuss here. Further testing needed.

#45 - I have my cart RPM ceiling at 7k RPMs (35mph). This is just the ceiling, it doesn't mean the cart can always get there without other settings

#47 - I like to reverse a tad faster

#50 - I think this might be the regen, but I can't remember.

#134 - I'm not sure. This might be related to torque.

#149/150 - Not sure. I was tinkering with things months ago.

I set #45 to 3 sec and it seems to have more off the line - unless it's in my head. Would love to hear your opinion.

I've also played with #136 and set that to 24 per another user's suggestion, forgot who, I think it may have been TropicFury. Hard to explain. When you let off the gas, the cart keeps pushing a bit - doesn't come off like it would at 12. Definite difference, I didn't like it. Set it back.

Correction - I set my #49 to 3 sec, not #45.

On that note, I have #45 set to 7000 as well. I hit 32 MPH once, I've seen 31 MPH a few times. 30 no problem.

I recevied my cable I ordered from Amazon -thanks Atrain! been fooling around with my programming. Bumped up the RPM max to 7k and already clocked it at 34mph. I'd like it to accelerate from ~15mph to top speed faster. I wonder if decreased line 49 will help with that? I don't want it to accelerate from 0 any faster.

Also, I increased line 134 from 12 to 15 and didn't notice much difference. Do we think it is safe to bump it up past the 18 you have listed?

I have been trying various setting combinations to change the RPM<->MPH coefficient. No success yet. Anyone figured this out?

ATrain, are you running Lithium? Or stock Trojans?

I changed:

#45 to 10,000
#46 to 6000
#47 to 3000
#48 to 2000
#49 to (1.0), made a huge difference in take off.
#50 to 27, this seems to let the cart coast a bit better after let off and eases engine braking.

Gets me to 32mph on GPS. (I40L w/trojans & 23x10-12 radial tires). I’m not sure how to go any faster without Navitas/Lithium.. thoughts?
