I bought a used EZGO cart and i don't know anything about them. how can i get details of my cart? i have the serial number.

If you are new to carts in general, best thing to do is to read the "stickies" under the home page. There is a wealth of information that experts have compiled over the years to answer some of the most common questions/problems. Welcome to BGW....there are a lot of us, just like you, that don't know squat about these things and are comparing our mistakes. AND remember, there are no stupid questions here, we weren't born knowing about how these things operate and are trying to figure it all out. Good Luck and I hope you don't spend your kids inheritance on upgrades (like a lot of us have)

thanks for the advice. I'm finding out that the batteries are one of the most expensive things to replace.

Oh yes, by far the most expensive. That's one of the reasons I went with lithium. Up front cost seems high, but will not have to replace every 5-7 years. I used to think 5 years was a long time, but it's not anymore.
