Default Club Car Model NR-03

I just purchased a club car with a model number starting with NR-03. I am told it is a street legal cart that is pretty much fully equipped and the seller says it is factory built and will do 25 MPH. I put new batteries in it and all I can get out of it is 19 MPH Is anyone familiar with this model and can tell me anything about it.

NR is a Pathway serial number. So you have a 2003 Pathway

As far as the speed I don't know. I've hear they swapped controllers before selling to the public. Maybe tahoedawg can shime in and shed some light

NR-03 refers to a Pathway (New Yorker). NQ is the Pathway NEV.

The new batteries are not at 100% performance until they are properly broken in. Then you may hit 25...

It's a Pathway. It's been de-NEV'd though.... They converted them all back to DS Golf cars as far as the powertrain is concerned. You may find one every now and then with the high speed gears still remaining but only if you're super lucky. Just consider it an AQ03 serial number because that's basically what it is. A DS IQ

Pathways are just Club Car DS carts that were converted to be NEVs (neighborhood electric vehicles). Blinkers, tail lights, wiper, etc. The speed was increased as well. As tahoe said they were de NEVd prior to being sold off

It sounds like you can re-NEV it by having your motor reworked so it can go 20-25 miles/hour. If it is as fully equipped as you say.

Yes you could get a new motor and/or controller and increase the speed, as with any DS. Not sure exactly what else was done to remove NEV specifications

High speed gears were changed back to factory ratio.... although I've seen a few that slipped through and didn't get changed.
