Default 98 cc 48v (or) 08 precident 48v

I want to lift, bigger tires, go faster, and be able to tow a 2800 lbs around a race track (sometimes).
Which of the 2 models above would be better for that ... price wise(not the cart, just the upgrades), reliablity wise... ect. Please pros and cons. Also if there is a better model to do it with. A little more infor ... the 98 has 6 - 8v batts and the 08 has 4-12v batts.

Thanks

I have had both and the precedent is the way i would go.My ds(97) was a good cart but the 06 Precedent is a better cart.If you are gonna tow i would suggest bigger cables and a controller and motor set-up for torque.I don't know that either cart would tow well lifted with big tires and stock components. You may be able to get away with bigger cables, speed code 3 and a PQ purple motor for towing.

on another note i have found you have to have patience on this site and after one person responds to you it generally triggers others to post.

I would go with the 08 more options programming the controller and its got 1 or 2 tenths more HP. that last part was a joke but true

08 is 10 years newer (10 years more reliable)

And your on your own with the tow part, you don't say what your towing where your towing, how far your towing they have 3 HP what do you think.
is it free rolling on dirt, mud, it might do it, good luck let us know and we can answer for someone else.

Thanks guys..... sorry, im pushing a 2800 car around a race track that is usally pretty flat, and not a great distance 1/10 - 1/8 mile at a time (not very often).
Thanks for the responces ........ was kind a kidding on the earllier post, but glad it got your attention.

Thanks

Check with some of the dealers on here or i would find a local body shop and have them spray it with a single stage black.I did one of mine in a bluish gray color my self and only had 80.00 in materials.

I work at a car dealer so painting not a problem ..... i liked the idea of having a factory black body, cus if it gets scratched it wont be green ....

Im betting that will be very costly might want to look at ordering a new one may not be that much more. I going to guess a black body would run you 900 shipping and all, Ill bet a coffee on it.
