Going forward & reverse
I have an issue with my Club Car DS (old model) 36 volts. Solenoids are new and working. Forward / Reverse switch have just replaced. With the ignition key On and Off, whilst shifting the forward and reverse switch, the car moves without pressing the accelerator pedal. Is anybody know what's wrong with it? Thanks

Re: Going forward & reverse
May be more than one issue, but the main solenoid (one on far right) is stuck closed.

Re: Going forward & reverse
I have tested all the solenoids including the main and appears to be working. The micro switches inside of the speed box are also working and have connectivity. The forward / switch has also just been replaced. I noticed that when switching to forward and reverse with the key switch on or off, part of the forward/reverse switch where the cables connected are burning or it sparks. I have attached below the picture of the switch. Need your help please. Thanks

Re: Going forward & reverse
You have something wired wrong.
You should have pack negative going to the key switch. Key switch going to the micro-switch on the FNR. Micro-switch on FNR going to all Solenoids negative. If that wiring is correct, there is no way for the cart to run with the key switch OFF or sparks when the FNR is switching directions. |

Re: Going forward & reverse
I have checked all the wiring connections and appears all are correct as per the diagram. Not sure what else the issue is? I am thinking now the Key Switch because the wheel spins or move forward and reverse whilst the key is Off and On even without key. Do you think that is the issue? If this is, how can I check or is it continuity using the multi-meter? Thanks again.

Re: Going forward & reverse
You should only have two wires on the key switch (one on each terminal), disconnect one and see if the problem persists.
If it does, check the wiring again as You missed something. |
