Default reccomendations for custom kart

im sorry about posting this 3 times....
i just seen it looking around.
when i go to my threads there are none there?
im still trying to figure this out,
is there any way to erase the 2 extra i posted?

Hello Everyone, I'm new to this forum,
just looking for some advise,
i have a 20 hp vanguard.

and am currently looking for a golf kart to put it in,
iv'e read alot of forums on here,
i understand that i will have to lift the cart,
which is fine, i want to do that anyways.

just trying to find out what would be a good
base for my project....
and what will hold upto the vanguard.

right now, i have found a 90's hyundai,
its all together, its non runing.
i have seen a pic of it.
which i understand parts are hard to find....?
and i was trying to do research and
i could find anything saying if the 20hp vanguard will fit in there?

and a 97-99 yamaha, that i guess is all apart, i havent seen it yet
but i could go look at it....

i need pointers, i dont want to grab the first cart available, and regret it,
so im going to wait for some responses.

if anyone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

EZGO's are a popular choice for big block projects because of the aftermarked support with parts availability. Yamaha's are also popular because of their "full frame" construction. You can't go wrong with either one of those. Club Car's are everywhere but you have to watch some of them the engine was a "reverse rotation" and mounted backwards compared to most other carts.

My advice would be to get a cart that is assembled and rolling, trying to piece one together can be frustrating when you are missing parts and don't even know it.

well, i went out lastnight and got the hyundai.

its 100% complete, it has a hole in the block,
and the guy went out and bough an electric one.

and it was only 30 min from my house...
ive posted wanted ads on CL and FB,
and only got 2 replys, a yamaha that was tore apart,
and like you said, with missing parts and what not,
i didnt wanna try geting somthing someone else has taken apart.

ive looked on ebay within 200 miles of me, only 1 cart on there as of right now,
(ive been looking around for 2 weeks)
and its running 83 ezgo, but no reverse,
and 2 stroke, from what i understand
the engines run backwards for the reverse, in that model anyways?
and CL is limited also, alot of 3 wheeled carts.
found 1 aways away, called the guy, but he never called back.

so i said screw it, grabed the hyundai, iv'e found 1 forum on here with 2 guys that
built hyundai's, i hoping the'll help me out with this.

if anyone else can help, let me know!

i cant do anything until i get rid of my 4 go carts, (no room in the garage!)
i put them for sale.... right now im just trying to figure out
were to start, what tips pointers i can get,
and if anyone needs a motor off a hyundai,
i have one i have no use for! its 100% complete,
turns over when pushing gas pedal.
and the guy said he replaced a gasket that cost him 90$ just for the gasket.
i havent got under it to see were this hole is...
by the time i got it in / out of a lifted truck, and moved stuff around in the garage to
fit it in there, it was late.
well anyone with any advise, im all ears!

Not really my business but I think I would hold on to that motor until I was 1000% sure I didn't need it. I've learned that things don't always go as I expected! At the very least as you get into this more you'll learn the value of some of these parts. Just sayin'............

Contact Pachanga in the lifted cart section. Seems to me he had a Hyundai or has one. He might be able to offer up some suggestions.

I would definitly send the factory motor down the road. They run great, when they run. They are known to fail alot. The only downfall of the Hyundai Clutches is an odd-sized belt(15/16" I think). We had one for a few weeks,I bought it for my Wife,it was fast, and ran/drove nice, but I couldn't even find a belt for it.The deal came up on the G16,so I sold the Hyundai. They are almost a Twin to the G2 Yamaha,I used a rear-body off a G2,but had to cut it in half and widen it about 3/4".Other than that,it actually fit correctly!
