96 EZGO Engine Replacement/Refurbish
New to the forum here. Have a 1996 Gas EZGO with a Robin EH29C. About 3 years ago I lost a lot of compression and it started to have a difficult time climbing hills. Last weekend it started knocking, then it stopped and now it will barely climb the slightest incline with one person on the cart.
Question: The wife is not willing to spend 4K on a newer cart right now and would rather take on the smaller bill and have our engine replaced or refurbished. I think with the help of a friend I could replace the engine but would not want to try to take on refurbishing the current one on my own so would need to take it in to have a shop do it. Does anyone have links to replacement engines that would fit right into the cart as I want to make sure I get the right one if I go that route. Thanks!!! |
