Basic Maintenance - Rear End oil change
So I just got done doing a complete basic maintenance service on a cart I bought last week. 4 new shocks, front end alignment, 2 new plugs, 1 new fuel filter and cleaned oil & air filter as neither looked too bad. Rolled around to the rear end on the creeper and pulled yellow plug at the top and oil came out. So I put a pan under it and drained everything. It didn’t look horrible color wise, but I drained out almost 2.5qt! Hopefully this hasn’t caused any rear end damage by the previous owner cause I have no idea how long it’s been this way. Once everything was drained I put the bottom plug back in and filled till it with SAE30 till it came out of the check hole, just a tad under 1qt. Everything I’ve read tells me this is the right amount, if someone knows otherwise please let me know.
Thanks |
