OBC for lithium Carts
This might be addressed already but I couldn't find it when doing a search. Do I just bypass the OBC based on the instruction on the sticky? The reason for my questions is because running a negative wire from the charging port to the battery. If I'm not using the charging port anymore, then do I still need to run that wire from the negative side of the charging port to the battery? what are the recommendations as how t o address the OBC after you convert to lithium using a lithium charger? Thanks.

Re: OBC for lithium Carts
The OBC is designed to charge Lead Acid batteries only.
You need to by-pass and completely remove the OBC from the cart. |

Re: OBC for lithium Carts
Thanks. Do I follow the instructions that you posted except running the negative wire to the battery? or just unplug the whole thing?

Re: OBC for lithium Carts
I removed my charging port and replaced it with a 120VAC socket to plug a regular extension cord since my Lithium charger is onboard.
You don't need any wires from the existing charging port. If You have an Alltrax XCT controller all you have to do is change the interlock signal without any other changes. If You have an IQ/Excel with the OEM Curtis controller than you need to connect the White and Blue wires on the harness side OBC 6-pin connector. |

Re: OBC for lithium Carts
Thank you. I plan to use a 120VAC plug as well, that was causing the confusion.

Re: OBC for lithium Carts
That's a little overkill. Try something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Here is a plug for the charger. It's a perfect fit. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

Re: OBC for lithium Carts
Thanks for the link to the 120V plug.
I have a fuse panel already for accessories, but I think I need the bus bar to run the power from the battery then split it up to the charger and my 12V converter. |

Re: OBC for lithium Carts
I used this connection stud in my lithium build for each pack cable for the outside connections:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1The one you linked is a 3/8" post so make sure your cable lugs match. |

Re: OBC for lithium Carts
Thanks for the help again. I think I have all the parts I needed at this point. I wasn't sure which size stud works the best. I will pick the 5/16 size.
