89 Ezgo Marathon project / hobby cart
Iv been on here quite some time, alot of great information has been available here, and so i figured i show my progress on my own little project. Everyone here is gonna tell me i shoulda painted it BEFORE i started puting things together, and i will agree. Hell, my best friend owns a body shop and i already bought the paint. However, i use this cart for offroad, backwoods fishing and hunting trips, so i figured i would just mask and paint later. We beat the crap out of this thing as it is...lol. I did add a turn signal kit just because i had one laying around. I used to own a automotive electronics shop.

Thanks alot, trust me, i consider myself lucky to have one in such good shape with very little rust and dents. Although I had to buy 2 non running marathons for basic parts, like arm rests and trim pieces. |

New carts look nice, old ones look older....but they all ride similarly and that is the important part. In fact older carts seem to be getting more popular. I see one around here its the work cart like that with the diamond plate body and box but I'm looking at another cart at the moment.

Thanks, those hubcaps are actually licensed my cragar. I have to admit, those wheels were a $125 Craigslist find..4 mounted tires with the hubcaps.

That thing is in awesome shape! We have one our pool guys use at night and the rear body is about rusted apart... Putting off buying them a new one.

I've always liked the old ones, it's more fun to me trying to find a way up the hill than to just ride up it. They have a lot of heart in those old 244s.
