Re: Hunting rifle pics
I used to have a winchester in the .32 special cal. It was my grandfathers rifle. Yours looks nice, mine stayed in the truck most of its life. Looked ruff, but shot good, with a hard kick. Passed it on down to one of my nephews.

Re: Hunting rifle pics
I picked that 32 special up at a local gun show. The only reason I bought it was because that was the same rifle my Grandmother (God rest her soul) used her whole life of deer hunting.
My Grandparents taught me to hunt. Both were great teachers. |

Re: Hunting rifle pics
There aren’t many stock designs that transfer all the energy to your shoulder as thoroughly as the Winchester 94! I had a .32 Spec, also -
dang fine gun, ‘cept for that kick . . . |

Re: Hunting rifle pics
Dave,
That's a real nice collection of lever actions. My first hunting rifle was a Marlin lever action 30-30. Here's a few more from my collection. Henry golden boy .22 with upgraded wood, Winchester 94 in 30-30, Savage 110 in 7mm-08, Remington VTR in 308 and a Thompson center encore with a 7mm Rem mag barrel, 375 H&H with Magna port brake, 300 Winchester Mag with Magna port brake, 50 caliber, .223 and a .243. The last one is a Remington 742 in 30-06. I have another Marlin lever action in 44 mag, it's a great brush gun. I'll post more pics, it's just a pain in the butt taking them out of the safe. |

Re: Hunting rifle pics
The recoil from those 94's can be tamed somewhat with a slip on recoil pad. I purchased one of these that I don't keep stored on the rifle. I can swap it from lever to lever and keep my shoulder from being black 'n blue from a range day.
Olds.....nice "stuff" you have there. I also have an Encore with only two barrels. One is a 12ga. that I use for turkey hunting, and the second is the 50 cal in-line. That 50 cal in-line is one accurate barrel!!! I call it a rifle without the brass cartridge. Dave |

Re: Hunting rifle pics
Here is my long distance rifle. It's a 6.5 Creedmoor with a Remington 700 action that was trued, fluted and trued bolt, trigger tech trigger, HS Precision stock and a Millet 4-16x56MM long range scope with adjustable turrets. The action was bedded and It's a fluted X-caliber barrel. I've been out to 200 yards with the gun and it's a tack driver.

Re: Hunting rifle pics
Nice Olds'. I have a Savage bolt, single shot. I purchased the action and then put a Shield match bull barrel and then a Stocky's (maybe?) stock on it. I also had the action timed and trued. I haven't shot it at the 1,000 yard targets for a few years....but it's really accurate. I load my own in 6.5x55 Swede caliber.
