Default 79 HD cylinder

I have a 79 HD and looks like the clip on the wrist pin for piston broke or came loose. the wrist pin slid up down the cylinder walls to the point that I doubt there is a bore big enough to fix the scaring. Anyways, my search for a top end rebuild kit has come to an end. It seems there are no cylinders for this motor in this hemisphere. I have been looking for about a month and can't even find a used one. There is one I on ebay and the guy wants almost $600. Does anybody know where I might find one? or maybe an alternative fix? I am frustrated with this search already!!

For what ever reason, these guys post that they have them but they don't. I called Advantage distributing direct to make sure they had one to send. They said they were hoping to have some in by the end of September.

The 1982 and up has a very different exhaust port requiring a donut like gasket and different exhaust pipe.

Be patient with it. Vintagegolfcartparts.com has the top end kits listed as being available in a couple of days.

This happens now and then with the old carts. Parts come and go.

I hope so. I've bought quite a bit of stuff from those guys over the years. They've been legit and they're first guys I go to when I need something. I'd much rather buy from them than someone on ebay.
