Default PDS Regen Braking

I am still tossing a few things around trying to figure out what exactly to do. Either buy a Series Fleet TXT, convert to 48 volts,, change controller and motor.

After reading another thread, someone mentioned they bought a 2006 PDS, and only changed the controller and got 24 mph. I thought changing the controller only would get you torque and very little extra speed.

Is that typical?

Also the OP said he lost the Regen braking. Is that also normal?

IMO I wouldn't want to loose Regen braking if I had a PDS.
