Default Upgrade To Twin-V Engine

I own a 2006 Ezgo TXT with the infamous 295 cc engine, that has given me so many problems. There are days it will start, run, and perform perfectly, and, there are days it will not start, or start and quit.

I have read where there can be a V-twin 18 hp, or 23 hp engine installed in this cart. The cart "has not been lifted"--- just a stock factory model.
Question: Can I install this V-twin in the cart without any modifications?

Is it cold out when it wont start?I always had problems when it got below 40degrees, i think its possible to drop a vtwin in a stock cart(someone on here did it).

Sorry to hear that, I have had seven 295s and allot older than 2006s and never had problems with any.. hang in there and figure it out.

It will not be as simple as swapping the engine if thats what your wanting to know.
I have never seen this done but you'll have to get or make a dropped engine frame to lower the engine enough to fit. you'll end up with no ground clearance so off road driving will be limited.

I'm tell you, you'll love that Vtwin so much!! Just lift the cart and drop that engine in and never look back. Well you can look back but all you'll see is dust and the other carts trying to catch up!
