Default Adhesion Promoter or primer sealer?

I recently picked up a 2006 CC DS IQ and l'm looking to rattle can it a different color. The question i have is are the DS models fiberglass or a plastic material? It appears to be fiberglass, but i don't see any strands of glass, so I'm unsure. I had planned on roughing the body up and spraying it with a sealer rather then the promoter but after reading some posts here I'm not sure if it that's a great idea. THoughts?

By the way...Great site!

well, after reading many threads on here, it seems that it's probably best to go with the promoter as well as the primer/sealer.

That model is plastic so the only thing you need to do is scuff it with some scotch brite and then apply the adhesion promoter before you spray the color. Make sure you read the instructions on dry times with the adhesion promoter.

I'm not doing anything special...just going from the basic standard CC color to black. Haven't decided if I'm going to leave the top and seat or change it as well. I'll post a pic or two!
