Just got done doing this actually. I found that solenoids 2 and 3 are clicking on at the same time, and I see the 36v coming from both at that time. What would you check next?

Note the colors and orientation of the wires in the photo I supplied. Although mine is a 1982 I think they are the same as yours. They need to match the sequence in your micro switch/speed control box.

Either something is wired incorrectly at the solenoid bank, or something is wrong in the box.

Yes, 4 & 5 are in sequence. Okay, your explanation above makes sense. I'll trace the colors and see what's wrong.

Question, let's say solenoid 5 and 1 are swapped. If pedal trigger switch #1 turns on/engages solenoid #5, will that also trigger all downstream solenoids as well?

Not sure why you would ask but you cannot swap 5 and 1. They serve different purposes.

Disregard...I found the solution to what I was asking, I wasn't being clear.

Mooncarter, what is the Spec and/or PN for the relay's? Found a break on one of the terminals - I think I found the issue!

Relay? Are you talking about a micro switch or a solenoid?

Hey Guys, thanks for all the insight. I changed all my speed solenoids and that didnt seem to fix anything with the throttle response. Also, seems to be getting worse with the cold temperatures lately. Any thoughts on next steps?

Thinking throttle switch or something else?
