98 club car ds gas and cant figure out why it cuts in and out on incline
hello I was wondering if anyone has experienced the issue im having. My cart ran fine last year and now it cuts in and out on an incline. I totally went through our cart , paint , lift kit , tires and rims , tune up you name it we did it, now its not running so well. any ideas. I ordered a new carb today. not sure if the float is sticking. any ideas.

is it hitting top speed and cytting in and out? if so it might be bouncing off the rev limitor..........................

is plug gapped right? have you tried tearing the old carb down and going over it? lots of times that will work.....how old is the gas? .....................

Is it cutting completely out to where the cart shuts down? Or like it's not getting enough gas and it slows down with the engine revving. If it is going to the point where it is shutting down you could have a bad clutch which is causing the cart to over rev and hit the rev limiter, like shadowman said, and cause the engine to shut down.

I know Tom,
I got to thinking about it, and my buddies 94 ran "poorly" up a hill, (carburetor) and then of coarse, there is the dreaded rev limiter going down a hill, and an "incline" goes both ways... just thought I'd ask!  |
