Default Trying to install a 12v Power Inverter fro one time use - Where to connect?

I am trying to install a 12v 400 watt inverter with alligator clips for a one time use. I have hooked this up on the same cart before, but am having problems this morning. It has been a few years since I did it last, and can't remember where I did it previously.

Below should be a pic that may help. This is a 48v cart.

You have 8 - 6volt batteries to make 48volts right, 6 volt batteries in your cart?

Inspect the pack, notice the batteries are connected pos to neg in 'series'
Pic any 2 that are connected pos to neg and connect to 12v at a pos on 1 and a neg on the other..... check it out with your voltmeter... you will see it is 12v (or supposed to be) This way. No need to disconnect or remove anything..

they look like 6 volt batteries so just tie to the positive on one and the negative on the other giving you a series 12 volt battery

I see one of those "ticking time bomb" watering systems in his original pic!
