Default 1975 electric cushman golf cart

I have recently purchase a cushman golf cart. I believe it is a cushman 1975 model. The cart runs great but the speed of the cart is questionable. I noticed that it only has one selonoid, is that common. If that is common would the speed increase if I put another on it. When i increase the gas pedal i can only hear the selonid click once. I thought that I should here it click three times. Any sugestions on how i can increase the speed and how many selonoids there should be on a golf cart of this make and model?

adding solenoids isn't going to add speed, its a 1975 cart it wont go much faster than 10-13 mph. A solenoid is open or closed it wont click 3 times unless it is going bad.

To get a cart that old to run fast is just not cost effective in my opinion. Sell it as a collector piece since it runs and get a late 90s up cart. It will be much cheaper and easier to upgrade and get the speed and torque you are looking for.

Thank u for the information. I put new batteries on the golf cart last week, if I sent u a picture of the Cart could u tell me what the average price of this cart would be.

I would have no real opinion. For me not much more than a couple hundred bucks. The new batteries are worth more than the cart for me. Like I said to a collector the value would be more.
