What is everyone doing with their old seats?
I have a 2010 Precedent and was thinking of upgrading the seats but prices are pretty high for me. I just put around with the kids in the cart around the neighborhood. Id rather put money into a stereo and LED lights. I see so many members here have upgraded their seats, what do y'all do with them? Amy for sale???

I put mine into trash bags and threw it out with the trash. The plywood was rotted and big black ants had taken up residence in the foam. Haha

2) I have no idea, nor does anyone else what kids in the cart around the neighborhood have to do with your decision. 3) If you are considering between new lights and stereo, as opposed to new seats that is a decision you will have to make. 4) As far as I know Amy is a fine girl and she is not for sale. |

If you're just seeking a cheaper alternative, try a local shop that builds up carts. When the "upgrade" seats go on there are often decent & useable stock seats that come off. I know we have some, but shipping could turn a good deal bad in a hurry.

What to you mean by “upgrade”? I recovered my factory seats by ordering new vinyl from “up to par seat covers”. They sell on amazon. Came out looking like I hade custom made seats for less than $200 for front and back seats.

Re: What is everyone doing with their old seats?
Replacement seat has been a great income for our shop. Old seat are saved whenever possible. Our southern canine friends love the taste of seat foam, must be something in our water. Old rotten wood is replace with 1/2" Pressure treated plywood when required.
Sheet Vinyl is cheap compared to the seat assemblies, and they can be installed with a very professional appearance, Pleated corners just like we did our Boot Camp Bunks |
