94 club car fe290 coil
Can a new coil off of a 97 and up fe290 work on 94 fe 290 motor? Just wondering because the New Coils have a built-in igniter for the older model you have to have a separate igniter what is better.

Re: 94 club car fe290 coil
Yes. Lots of people install the new coils on the old carts. Ditch the separate igniter and make sure the wire to it is taped off or removed so it can't ground to the block.
I will say, be careful with aftermarket coils. They don't last long an it's a major pain in the rear to change those things. Buy an OE kawasaki coil if you can. |

It's worth the extra money for the OEM coil to just do the job once and forget about it for another 20 years. |
