Default 2013 Precedent Upgrade install

Hi all,
I am about to install my upgrade, 500 amp controller, new Solenoid 2 AWG cables, and an Admiral A2 motor.

I was searching for an upgrade thread that might give me a suggested sequence to follow, but couldn't find anything.

It probably doesn't matter as long as I start with disconnecting the battery pack and end with connecting the battery pack.

But it doesn't hurt to ask?

Thanks,
Aflyer

When I just installed the same stuff (different motor) I did the wires and controller together and motor after due to order time. It worked out well. Motor install is the simplest as long as your motor armature isn't rusted and difficult to remove.

When I pulled my controller cover (the metal one on the back wall) I removed controller and old solenoid (and obc in my case) and installed the new stuff together. I also cut the "fin" off the inside for more room. Take your time, mark your wires and Instal 1 wire at a time and it's simple. Good luck

Night life,
Thanks for the response.

I removed the motor first just because I read about the frozen armature syndrome. Mine came right out!

Currently marking wires and disconnecting the existing controller and solenoid.

I have taken lots of pictures too!

How did you mount your controller, I have read some threads about having to cut wires to the pigtail if you mount it wrong.

Thanks again,

These pictures are from David at Revolution golf carts. Thanks David. Use one of the original mounting holes for controller see photo with finger.
I didn't cut the factory connectors, I installed mine the same way.

I also removed the OBC completely and removed the solenoid bracket and fin in the top corner and welded a plate over the OBC hole to give me the most room. I have a SW200 solenoid and it is huge. Take time routing the wires, go to the alltrax website and they give some great pictures of the install, for wire routing. I also added a USB extension and I have the FNKS box for the XCT. Mine still fits behind the back cover. I made a couple of extra holes for air movement. I know how muddy it gets I didn't want all the mud in that wiring. These are pictures of my install.

I mounted mine up and down long wise, similar to the alltrax precedent instructions with the 13 pin on the passenger side of the cart.

I went with a DPI charger. On Ebay I have sold the factory controller speed code 4, factory solenoid, OBC, and factory charger. It helps offset the costs of all the upgrades.

2016D,
Thank you for all the pics and suggestions. That helps me a bunch, I find it easier to ask, than to screw it yup and have to fix it later.

Nite Life,
Thank you again, I appreciate your help. I will head out to the AllTrax site and check that out also.
