Please post if you know the values for each of resistors on the multi-step potentiometer. Thank you

Re: multi-step resistor values needed
That is from the 98-99 supplement manual,...
7.1. Disconnect the six-pin connector at multi-step potentiometer. 7.2. Using a multimeter set to 20K ohms, connect black (-) lead of multimeter to purple wire terminal end (located in six-pin connector on potentiometer). Connect red (+) lead (with insulation probe) to yellow wire at six-pin connector. 7.3. Measure resistance while depressing the accelerator pedal. The measured resistance should increase incrementally in six steps: 1st Step: 910 ohms (approx.) 2nd Step: 1660 ohms (approx.) 3rd Step: 2570 ohms (approx.) 4th Step: 3570 ohms (approx.) 5th Step: 4570 ohms (approx.) 6th Step: 5570 ohms (approx.) So in series it should be 910 750 910 1K 1K 1K Bands if needed for 5% 750Ω 5% Violet, green, brown, gold. 910Ω 5% White, brown, brown, gold. 1kΩ 5% Brown, black, red, gold. Re: multi-step resistor values needed
You did not specify if it was a 2 wire or 3 wire Multi-Step potentiometer, so here are both (there were multiple flavors of the old 2 wire style):
All resistors start counting from the post #3 (Post #1 is wiper connection and #2 is open) 3 wire Multi-Step Resistor Values: 910Ω 2 wire Multi-Step Resistor Values (95+): 300Ω 2 wire Multi-Step Resistor Values (94-): 910Ω |

Re: multi-step resistor values needed
The primary difference between the 2 wire rates is voltage.
48v. uses the 300 ohm and up rate 36v. uses the 910 ohm and up rate . |

Re: multi-step resistor values needed
97 CC DS 48V. Surges particularly noticed going up slight inclines. 50.2V reading on pack. All factory original motor, controller, F/R switch, obc, vglide, cables, etc. I replaced the solenoid last year with a White Rogers. Some microswitches replaced, including inside the vglide.
Multimeter lead (black) clipped on purple terminal in 3 prong plug Multimeter lead (red) clipped on yellow terminal in 3 prong plug Multimeter set to 20k ohms Position 1 = 1 Position 2 = 0 Position 3 = 0.57 Position 4 = 0.96 Position 5 = 1.44 Position 6 = 2.22 Position 7 = 3.29 Position 8 = 5.53 Thoughts on readings? I attached a pic for reference. Thanks! |
