Default 94 Club Car NO spark

AG9439- Kawasaki FE290 Motor

No spark, engine turns over, compression good, but doesn't matter because there's no spark. Spark tester shows no spark. You can tap accelerator and get a strong spark periodically.
Suggestions please please please!
Thanks!

Try unhooking the ground for the RPM limiter and see if that helps. If not, maybe one of the limit switches in the black box is bad. Otherwise you would need to suspect the coil and/or ignitor. I think the RPM limiter is located on the side of the engine closest to the front, brown wire if I am correct. Unhook and tape it up.

Yep Jason, it's located under the front of the engine block. Ground wire is attached by 10mm bolt to it's left as you look from the foot well.

limitor is bolted to a bracket front of engine under the carb and above the oil plug the ignitor is bolted to the same bracket but the rear side of it..........there are four 10mm bolts holding bracket on and my only peice of advice is if you can afford it replace them both at the same time.........theres no real bench test for either other than taking that wire off the limitor and that should only be for testing.......................theres a good chance its eith one or both of them failing before the coil.........they are mounted in a really crappy place as far as heat goes and i think thats what makes them fail the way they do............the heat.................................
