![]() I'm starting to swap my 2004 g22 motor to a 3 cylinder kubota diesel. Wondering if I should upgrade both primary and secondary clutches for the torque of the diesel?

![]() You might want to read rmack898's thread on his diesel swap and how he adapted a comet 780 clutch.

![]() I am in the middle of a diesel swap myself and I opted not to change out the driven clutch. Dont know if it will last yet or not but only time will tell. I am using a Commet drive clutch tho. You can check out my build thread to see all the modifications I had to do in order to fit my D722 turbo in my G1. Your cart is a lot newer so probably a lot different although I am almost positive you will have to modify the frame and lift the hell out of it like I did in order for it to fit.

I didn't have to do much of any cutting. I just cut a little bit of my skid plate on the bottom. I put a 6" lift on which helped. I'm debating on adding a turbo but probably after I get it up and running |

![]() I thought to mention on your secondary my guess would be a stock spring set on B 1 for a fast shift over with all the torque you have.

![]() When you pull the secondary apart you will see #'s on one half and letters on the other.Put the spring tangs in the desired holes.A word of advise get the proper secondary clutch tool for this job.

![]() There is a youtube on yamahas under the title jakes power spring kit for G 14-22 done in the cart. The stock setting for my G14 was B 3. For the yamaha all you need is the clutch compressor.

![]() Ok I gotcha. And b1 is for higher speed since the motor already has the torque end of it correct?
