Ok, crazy as this seems…

I had circled washer on wrong side (had it against engine under the bar). Didn’t really think it’d make a difference, but I’m running out of options. Put it in proper place and it helped…quite a bit actually. I also have bigger washers in wrong place on passenger side, BUT I do have smaller washers where the big ones should be. Will swap them out tomorrow or this weekend. Who would’ve thought…lol
Thank you!!

BUT…there is one more variable that could account for the improvement. When reinstalling engine, I just so happened to tighten passenger side mount nuts first. Yesterday I loosened those two so I could tighten the crap out of drivers side without the other side pulling against it.

Don't be afraid to add additional washers / shims to any of those mounts if need be. Doing so is very normal on these old engines and can help tighten things up.

Sounds good man, thanks.
I’ve wondered how small the window of adjustment is on the “engine support bar” to be correct. I figured didn’t have to be that precise, but…
