Horsepower ratings
I have a 1997 EzGo gas cart. Use it at the race track to pull a car backto pits. Thinking about a conversion to a larger engine. Whatis the actual HP of a stock gas cart? Would it be worth the outlay of cash? Thanks Popper

Re: Horsepower ratings
Your cart was 11 hp.... increases above 15 are noticable. A lot of happy peeps with 18hp.

Re: Horsepower ratings
The stock carts (295cc) are 9hp. ST models and bigger workhorses (350cc) are 11hp.
If you have a 350 and stick a 295 head on it you'll get 16+hp. Alt engine upgrades can go as wild as you can afford. Sled engines are about the best bang for the buck, vtwins can be petty costly. Is it worth it.... depends on how you define worth..... I'm guessing you already know the anwser to this if you have a race car. |
