Default What's it?

My neighbor has a 2000 CC, 36 volt. He says he has been told the "computer" is out. The cart will not take a charge. batt.s test ok and charger has been used on another CC. It worked. Is there a computer on this cart? He showed me a rectangular box on the backside of the xmember behind the driver's seat and told me it was a computer. Is that what it is and if so is there any way to test it? The charger tries to come on and charge but all it does is "click". Any help would be appreciated!

It's the OBC and it controls the charger. There is a way to bypass it look in the stickies. Easy to replace on a 48v cart thinking that a 36 would be about the same.

if your sure its a 36 volt cart IT HAS NO COMPUTER ( OBC ) they are only in 48 volt carts so if the charger isn,t working check the fuse in the cart and than open the charger and start testing it but don,t waste any time looking for a computer................................

Go to STICKIES under listing ( Complete Manual for Power Drive Charger ) to solve charger problems. In your case the relay inside charger is closing this indicates that OBC is asking for charge and is working correctly but you are not getting any 48 volts from charger for some internal reason.

ok if its a 48 volt cart and the charger won,t work but it will work on another cart then yes theres a real good chance its the OBC ( computer ) check the fuse under the seat on the back side of the charge receptical and if thats ok than more than likely OBC.........................................

I had the same issue and with the help on here I got it going.
If your receptical on the cart has a good fuse, then check your
connections. see if any of the wires coming out are loose. I took mine completly apart, cleaned up the connections and it worked, and still is.
