cart will not move
Hi new here thought i would give a shot ! 1998 txt dcs i just got from a friend sat for a while charged batt and it ran fine then i went to go up a small hill and it spun back wheels just a bit and stopped. buzzer came on smelled wire burning turned it off. switched to maintenance/tow let it cool off. with switch off turned tow to on buzzer still sounds and will not move i can here solenoid clicking but nothing . controller maybe ????

Check the voltage on both the input and output of the controller and post the results here. I'm sure someone will have some helpful info...
If you are getting the proper voltage on both sides of the controller, do the same at the motor... If you are not getting voltage to the controller, let us know... |

I'm gonna bet $100 the speed control burnt up. Pull the cover off of it and get close enough to smell the control. They have a distinctive burnt electronics smell when they fry.

Yes - quite typical failure for a stock Curtis DCS control but the aftermarket DCX controls from Alltrax do have low voltage protection and don't suffer from the same fatal flaw, So if you gotta replace it - go with Alltrax DCX400. You will gain about 33% more torque and top speeds of 20 mph
