Default Bumps up and down

Ok guys I have all the tires rotating in the correct direction, I lowered the air pressure to 17.5 psi, took it for a test ride and it was much quieter and actually handles better, (that could just be my imagination) but now, it bumps up and down almost as if it had a flat spot on the tires, what the heck can be causing that???

Mine does the same thing, but if I run it for several blocks the flat spot goes away. I assume it's a flat spot, but that doesn't really make sense as the cart doesn't sit much and with lithium instead of lead acid it shouldn't have that issue....

I thought it might be a flat spot too, I ran it round and round the block yesterday after I switched the tires and it did not go away and it was a very hot day.

Gotta be something else causing that any other thoughts???????

Sometimes those chinese tires are out of round, and will round out at a higher pressure. Lowering the pressure may have caused it.

So the wife says to me we can check for round by jacking the tire off the ground and putting something that won't move easily like a heavy paint can just almost touching the tire and turn the tire and see if it moves in and out or if it stays the same. I was thinking I'll bet Harbor freight has a tool for that and the paint can idea is free and I have them and why the heck didn't I think of that.

If the paint can trick shows the tire to be out of round, take a close look at the rim and bead.

The tire guys that mounted my tires didn't use enough lubricant or something and the beads weren't fully seated in the rims. It wasn't much of bump and I didn't notice it until I took cart into town and got up to speed on smooth pavement, even then I heard it more than felt it, the roof supports squeaked.

I mentioned the bumpy tire problem to my son-in-law, who retreads truck and tractor tires in Colorado, and he suggested letting the air out until the sidewalls were only about half their properly inflated height and carefully drive the cart slowly on smooth ground for a hundred yards or so.

It did the trick so I guess the tires hadn't been seated properly.

I also managed to get rid of the squeaky top. Several bolts had frozen threads, so they felt tight but weren't hold the brackets tightly.

The two front tires were the smallest bit out of round, the rears were almost perfect, can that little bit be causing the bumping
