72v for offroad

My original plan was a PQ torqe motor and 700a FSIP at 48v,but now I'm thinking since this is a ground up build why not take it a step further. What about a D394 and alltrax 7245 at 72v running 25's. If my thinking is correct it should only be turning around 3200 rpm's at 72v and torque,speed,and range should be greatly improved.BTW it's a 96' TXT and will be running 9 T-875 trojans.

I say heck yea! Nothing like 72 volts, the only thing better is 80 volts or higher! There is nothing better than voltage for off roading. We put close to 30 miles on it in one day worth of riding.






7-8 volts under the seat and 2 more in the bagwell.

My carts main purpose is hunting but I have a friend that just bought a 64v stealth and he has already made smart remarks about my "homemade" cart so now i have to shut him up. What motor are you running andy?

I have a D&D motor in it right now but I have a brand new custom built PQ motor to put in it. Just haven't had time yet!
I went off roading with some friends back this summer and they all were 48 volts 4x4 carts. I went everywhere they did and I have a stock rear end no posy traction. There is no substute for voltage!

The SPM has higher sustained and peak outputs and the older AXE. I have previously installed but not run AXE7245 for $100 less than the SPM control.

So this new controller is OK up to 90 volts then according to there site.
This would be nice.

Hey Scotty could you shoot me PM with the price of the SPM and solenoid? Any word on the bigger 72v SPM's that say coming soon on alltrax site?

The 72 volt AXE has the same max voltage.

Max voltage means just that..... 90v max doesn't mean 84v fresh off of a full charge. You will blow the control over 90v.
