The Duracell batteries in my area are made by East Penn (USA), and might manufacturer the US brand batteries as well. Maybe someone who has a set can look at the ID plate on top and tell us. Also keep in mind there are a couple of categories for golf cart batteries, standard and high capacity. Sam's Club carries both Duracell models. |

Re: best battery brands
There are several out there, but the most you will see from here has been US Batteries, Trojans, and Crown. They are the top tier and then there are many others available. I have a 7 year old set of US's that are still going.....

Re: best battery brands
From my perspective on the batteries. I’m a U.S. Battery fan, between that and Trojan, those are your top batteries. I’ve heard of crown batteries, not sure how they last. I’ve seen people go the Sam’s or Costco route, they work, but you won’t get the 5-6 years out of them like the US or Trojan. Interstate’s are about the same as Duracell, only about 2 years is the longest I’ve seen them go. The range also does matter on the maintenance you do to them as well.

Re: best battery brands
i have had energizer and duracell from sams club. both sets never made it to the 3 year mark. i went with trojan 875's just over two years ago and they are just as good as the day i put them in. if your planning on selling your cart then duracell is perfect, but if see yourself keeping it for years to come then nut up for good batteries .

Re: best battery brands
I don't know anything about this company's reputation or history. I do know the Crown CR-165's are excellent batteries. Mine are 4 years old going on 5 and are still very strong.
After a typical 8 mile run at 18 MPH average, the pack reads 49.8 to 50.5 when I get home. This price looks excellent but only if you are within driving range of their location to swap the cores. I'm on the borderline wanting to drive that far. https://bigosgolfcarts.com/products/...-48-volt-setup XL Carts in Yulee Florida [happens to be 25 miles from me!] Has Trojan T-875's for $119.00 each or $714 plus tax for a set. This is where I will go when I need batteries! Last edited by Tom47; 11-10-2017 at 04:49 PM.. Reason: Add Info |

Re: best battery brands
Without being a pro,, i will hand down go with trojan, i had us batteries in my club car ds, good range, but puffing after 2 season (not abbused). As for trojan,, i replace my set of 1260 after 7 years of service in my Rvx and the only reason i change them was beacause one of the 4 fail and being that old i decided to change the set..

Re: best battery brands
You can do a little better than that on price, depending on where you are located.
