Default Swapping from 3 hole column frame to 4 hole?

Can I use a 4 hole column frame to replace my 3 hole column frame? Judging from pics, I could just cut out the section where the 4 bolts bolt to? Or are there big differences?

Having worked on both types other than your column mounting plate, column, and steering gear with linkages I am quite sure that the frames are the same.

4 Bolt has the rack mounted on the axle. 3 bolt has the rack mounted under the cowl and uses a pitman arm.

If your old frame is a 3 bolt and the new is 4 bolt you will have to steal some more of the brackets from the 3 bolt frame depending on what year your cart was.

Swap the mount plate, brackets and your steering components to your new frame and you should be set!

I can see if I took any. What would you like see? We measured down about 1' on both and cut. Then welded the 3 bolt one we cut to the 4 bolt frame. If that makes sense?

Here are a couple. It wasn't 1' down, don't know what I was thinking.

Hello, I'm doing a frame swap also. If I want to buy a lift kit, do I buy it for the old txt or the newer?

Newer. The difference is the 3 vs 4 bolt steering.
