Default 2002 EZ-GO Build (7" A Arm/2-Speed Axle)

Hey guys, New here just making this as a reference to any one else wanting to build a beast like I have in my head. This build is not for me personally, it's more of a showpiece that I will happily drive around. So yes she will be over built and there will gaps of "acquiring funding".

Here are my target goals.

Electrical
48 Volt T48 Conversion
6x T-875's
Lester Summit II 650watt Charger

500 AMP Alltrax T48 & D&D Tall Stack
Or
HPEVS System 600A

Dual 30A Voltage Reducers
Enough Light bars to become a sun.
Surge 12V battery for Winch

Rear 3500 Winch
Front 4500 or 5500 Winch

4 Speaker Radio @ 300 watts

Frame
2002 PDS Re-Powder coated to gloss black
New Aluminum Battery Rack powder coated black
ROHX BMF 7"
Imaginative Engineering 2 Speed Axle
New T48 Foot Pedal Assembly
New Foot Brake Assembly
New Brake Equalizer Rod
New Brake Assembly's, Hubs and Cables

Body
Full T48 Conversion
New T48 Body in Charcoal Grey
LED headlights cut in OEM style & Tails
Black OEM style seats.
MJFX Rear Seat Kit
New Door Stills T48 style
New Dash Old Style
New Floor Mat
New OEM Comfort Steering Wheel
New Front Support
New Black T48 Roof
MJFX Roof Rack
Fender Flares?
Tinted Impact Grade Windshield

My self question's right now are :
Do I do the True T48 harness swap? If I go with a the onboard version of the charger I can keep my PDS harness.

Do I put a large SepEx system in it and be underwhelmed or do I just bite the bullet and get the HPEVS system. One I can source cheaply the other.... not so much.

How would I do Anti-Axle Wrap bars? I've gotta put all the pieces together first so see how to get away with it.

Can I even get it in the garadge. [emoji1787][emoji1787]

Her current state is waiting on the powder coater.

Sounds like an interesting build! I'll be following along and looking forward to your progress!

Looks like your cart had almost as much dirt and debris as my cart had when I got it...

So Monday I assembled the lift kit along with the axle. The install was super simple and alignment was simple if you've ever done a RXV then it will be a cake walk.

Well while I was at this stage I thought well right now would be a great time to do a rear end service. I puller the bottom plug and was greeted by orange water.

I removed the rear end and tore her down, while noticing a couple of bearings that need to be replaced while I'm here mainly the input shaft bearings and a intermediate bearing along with a really deep clean.

I tried to lay it out as it came out... well... I had to flip the case over to beat on the output housing and..... my castle of parts fell over. Shes a simple enough rear end a couple of hours and a couple of beers I bet I will get the synchro bit of it to work out just fine.

For having had orange water in it, that thing looked pretty clean! Well, you're in it now! Might as well replace the bearings and such.

Looking good so far. Nothing like a frame up resto

In the end you'll know every inch is brand-spanking new and attended to.

I love the look of the BMF lifts and wish Rhox offered them for more cart brands. Question; how were you lucky enough to score a used Axles, Inc. rear axle?

The place I worked at had a 300 car junk yard full of wonderful creatures. I took a Bob cat in there and sold each frame for 50$.

There was a couple of gems I made sure to hold back for myself but I let go of alot of potential. 3 bad boy frames, a dozen whole club car ds gassers, one or two Yamaha gassers. I could continue my disappointing list but I only have so much time.

The story on that axle is that its actually new. It was going to be a custom build but something happened and it got put outside for 4 years....

I was checking out the site for the 2 speed axles, it's about 45 minutes from my house. I'm going for a ride and check'm out.
