Default TXT48 build - no voltage across solenoid

New builder here trying to figure out the next step on my build. Have gone thru a lot of the old threads here and done several of the checks but still not sure what's the issue. Would appreciate any feedback on what to do next.

Alltrax XCT 500TXT48 PDS with the HD MZJ-400D solenoid from Scotty.
6 8v T875 batteries.

- 51.1 volts reading on the batt pack
- 51.1 volts between batt - and the + side of solenoid
- cannot get voltage readings anywhere past that
- have confirmed continuity just about everywhere else per the TXT wiring diagram
- 3 position key switch, rocker F/R, and volt meter.
- nothing happens when key is turned on, pedal pressed, etc.
- no voltage between batt - and key switch or F/R

Help please

The diode on the small posts is backwards. directions call for the banded end towards + terminal side, That would be with the yellow wire.

Thanks for the catch Scotty. I got that corrected and double checked continuity across the diode and the small posts again.

Still no change on everything else. Thoughts?

Often the micro switch in the pedal box fails when the diode is installed backwards (causing a short). To check verify there is no power to the yellow wire when you try to go. To fix replace the pedal box micro switch.

If this is a PDS or a TXT48, the solenoid's coil current doesn't go through the pedal switch.

B+ get to solenoid coil via Run/Tow and key switches.
B- gets to the other side of the solenoid coil via the controller, the coil driver inside the controller is activated by the pedal switch.

My Bad, you are right. So with the diode removed, does the solenoid click? Does the controller LED light up when yo tr to go?

OK I'll check those tonight.

Stupid question probably, but can this be check in TOW? Or does it need to be in RUN with the rear end lifted up?

Thanks for the help guys.

The run/tow switch cuts off all power to the carts ignition and the XCT control panel. So the switch needs to be in run to power the system up.

OK ran that check and no luck yet. No solenoid click or controller light both with diode on and off. Have a new pedal box switch on order.

Any other checks before replacing the switch?
