Default 2006 Club Car Precedent FE350 gas in oil problem

I recently bought this cart and noticed the oil level was high. I changed the oil after about a week of owning it. I filled it to the proper full mark and drove it, checked it again and added just a touch more. The level was sitting dead on full for about a week. I checked it again yesterday and it was about 1/4" higher than the full mark. I have only put a couple of hours on it since I changed it, but it smells like gas. Is it possible that the cylinder is getting over fueled and gas is getting by the rings? TIA

Thanks! I did notice the overflow tube on the carb was wet, not dripping, but wet after I parked it.

Lockman1, do you think fuel could be getting in through the hose that goes to the valve cover?

If your bowl vent/line is clear? ...
probably not, it would spill gas on the floor if your float was stuck completely open when not running!
(And also will fill your crankcase with gas.)
