Charging issues. Please help
After a month or so of sitting. Batteries read 7 volts with my volt meter. Batteries dead. They are brand new. Plugged my charger in and get a flashing orange exclamation point. Is that normal since batteries are dead? I have the Eric charger. Ty

Re: Charging issues. Please help
Sounds about right. What brand are they and are they 8 or 12v?
Also sounds like your cart has a parasitic draw that is killing your batteries. Do you have a voltage converter or any lights, stereo, other electronics connected to the batteries? You can leave the charger plugged into the cart for the whole time its in storage and the charger will automatically turn on to top off the batteries as needed. Just remember to check on the electrolyte level in the batteries. |

As Ft3m stated, you should leave the charger plugged in ANY time the cart is parked. The EIRC charger is specifically designed to maintain your batteries to prevent what you just had occur.

They are Trojans, some of the best. Do me a favor and look at the neg post on your battery and tell me what is stamped on it. My eyes can't really make it out but it looks like B3.

Nole this Thread has two parts. The first consists of Sergio helping him get his lights wired right and this appears to be the aftermath a month later. Here is a link to the first. Read the last reply. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ery-meter.html
Oops they are US Batteries. But I'd like to know the answer about the date stamp. |

I don’t see anything on the negative post but positive post had B8 stamped on them. Would that mean feb. 2008 or 2018? Are the u.s batteries good batteries?

Re: Charging issues. Please help
I finally got them charging. I had to charge one at a time to get a little juice in each. Then my Eric charger works. But, they been on charger all night last night and all day today and it still just flashing the 2nd green box which I think means is greater then 80% charged but still not charged completely. All water levels are full. Does this charger really take that long or is my batteries possibly jacked up. The way the lights was hooked up caused a constant 15 volts at ignition switch which I’m positive that’s what drained my batteries. All that is sorted out as I hooked up a converted and hooked lights to converter. Installed a battery meter and it works like it should. Zero volts on blue ignition wire now with key off.
