Default My current project

Just bought this 2002 gas DS from my buddy for $300. It was a course cart and then a security cart in its former life. It seems to run well, but the body was toast. Just ordered an All Sports SS 6" kit with tires. Next will be a body. While the cart does run ok it makes a strange rattle noise at full throttle. Not sure if its valve float or the rear end. I did the sip tie mod, but its not bounce off the rev limiter at full throttle. Any ideas on what I should check first?

I'll have the lift kit on it in the next few days, then take it back out for a closer look. I'll post the results. Thanks for checking in on it..

I'm not sure if you are saying that you think it should be bouncing off the rev limiter at full throttle and are thinking it's down on power or if you are just saying that you did the zip tie mod and it's set up the way it should be.

Even with the zip tie mod the cart won't hit the limiter every time you get to WOT, especially if you don't run wide open for very long. In other words if you are just cruising down the street and have it to the floor for a few hundred yards it may not (or I'd even say probably won't) hit the rev limiter. If you hold it to the floor going down a hill or for an extended period of time you will find the rev limiter.

Again, not sure if you are suggesting it's down on power cause its not hitting the limiter but just wanted to clear that up.

Nice score by the way, have fun with the build! I got my cart straight off the course for 400 bucks. Gotta love a sweet deal :)

In the first post he says he went with the All Sports Super Sport 6" lift. Good choice in my opinion ;)
