Spark and Fuel! No Fire

Hello guys and gals. I have a robins eh29c. I think it is a 94-95 mdl.

It has fuel and back fires intermititly. Not sure whats going on. I was wwondering if some one could send me in the right direction!!!!

I'm assuming that it doesn't run, but acts like it wants to?
The first thing to check is the valve adjustment. They are supposed to be .004. four thousandths

Correct. Thanks for replying. It seems to want to crank. I have spark with the plugs removed. I do notice as I spin the engine over it mists gas out the front of the carb. and the plugs are getting wet.

sounds like the carb float maybe stuck

I wiil check that and the valve clearence. It was running when my buddy parked it due to the steering going out.

2 months. He didn't have the money to fix it. I bought an electric cart with a rusted frame that ran for the steering parts. The Elec was nice except the driver side frame. Someone had put 2 cycl fuel in it and was driving it around. He said it was running but smoked a little.

well like was said check the valves then the carb.

Maybe some new plugs would help too. have you checked yours?

Thanks guys for the help. It was the valves. Fired right off.
