Default Oil level with lift kit

Saw some comments on this thread about the oil level going down on the reading when a lift kit is installed.

How is this possible if the cart is still level?

I have no experience with gas carts except what I have learned here.

As you raise the cart your engine will start to tilt to the rear due to the fact that the cradle the engine is mounted to is supported to the frame in the front of the cradle and by the springs/shocks whichever in the rear. So when you lift the cart up the engine cradle will start to have a tilt to it to due to that. The more lift the more tilt. Best way is to look at the manual and put in the correct amount of oil and make a mental note or better yet mark where the oil level is on the dipstick and use that as your new full mark

make sure oil level is correct/exact before doing the lift, then make a new mark on the dipstick after the lift,,wherever the oil level is on the stick.

On my 98DS I was able to flip the mount, this helped out a lot with the level of the cradle/ engine.

The rear can be jacked up until engine cradle is level. Check oil, make mark or whatever.
