Default Who Makes Current Club Car Batteries

My new 2014 Prescedent came with 6 8v batteries with "PD Plus +" or "PN Plus +" on the top. Could not find any other identification on the battery.

Anyone know who makes these batteries?

The new Club Car batteries, PD Plus, are made by Johnson Controls. They are expensive if you buy from Club Car but they seem like good batteries. I had 5 replaced under warranty on my 2010 Precedent. I purchased the 6th so I would have a complete new set. Previous batteries supplied by Club Car were Crown.

Thanks for the information. Good to know.
They come with a 4 yr warranty from Club Car. Sure hope I don't have to have any replaced under the warranty! In the 18 years previously that I had my old 96 Club Car, I never got less than 5 years out of my Trojans. Never had any fail earlier.

If you have had 5 replaced under warranty, I don't think they are worth a crap.

I didn't make myself clear. The Crown batteries were replaced under warranty after 3 1/2 years with then new PD Plus batteries made by Johnson Controls. The Crown's were properly cared for, they just didn't last. I checked water levels at least once per week and I never let them get low. I always charged fully after each use. So far PD Plus' work great.
