Random pic of me with my '87 yesterday. Been over ten years since I got it!

So last fall I got this cart licensed to drive on low-speed Ohio roads. Ohio law doesn't require your golf cart to have a roof but it does require a windshield. I thought that my half windshield would pass inspection as there is no clarification (that I could see) in the law stating how high the windshield needs to be. The guy from the Sheriff's office who did the inspection sort of just made the call on the spot that the windshield had to be high enough to be in front of the driver's face...so I had to rig up a folding front windshield without a roof. He also required I have a rear-view mirror in the center of the windshield (despite having two side mirrors that give me a complete view of what's behind me).

So here's what I was forced to rig up. Needless to say I will likely not ever put the windshield into this configuration unless some government inspector needs to see it to keep me legal.

Does OHIO also require similar windscreens with center mounted rearview mirrors on motorcycles and unicycles too???

What L brackets are those from? I want to add a half windshield to mine, I can't have a full height or roof due to storage location.

To be honest I do not know what they came off. I found them found in a pile of golf cart parts parts on a flat trailer in the maintenance yard at our campground many years ago. I do remember that they were longer and I cut them down in order to use them. They are nothing more than square tubing with a 45-degree bend in them.
