The next step would be to verify you actually got a 4 pole (aka: speed) magnet:

Seems like lots of maybe answers about a tough question. I have just got a 2013 Presedent Excel (don't know if is a 1,2 or 3) - asked in another blog how to tell. But, I read where the magnet is the easiest, least expensive option. Just do not know how to know what magnet to buy. Anybody with a real answer, would be nice to know. Trying to refind this post in the myriad of them is hard. My email is jlink@tera-link.com if you have a good answer on 1,2,3 or magnet. Thanks.

Does anyone know what a “JE” prefix means in the serial number of a 2014 club cart? Can’t seem to find any information on the web.

I read this whole thread hoping to find an answer to my question but I might be more confused than before I started lol
I have a Powder drive plus Regen 2 cart, will a speed magnet work for me or only the IQ carts?
Thanks!
