Default Accelerator has little low range

I upgraded my dc cc ds with a Navitas 5kw kit and replaced the factory wiring harness with a 3900 wiring harness. Now that the cart runs so much faster there is little to no range on the accelerator. You have to press the pedal almost to full before you start to move. So there is very little low range which makes it very jerky. The cart currently has a generic MCOR1 but I have the MCOR4 conversion kit on the way.

The new MCOR may fix that but also check the "pressure point" down at your pedal and see if it is taking longer to engage after depressing pedal (do you have to push it quite a way until it starts to activate?). There is a post or three on here about picking up the slack on the pedal-it may apply here.

It's usually because of wear at the throttle arm where the fork attaches to the throttle pedal. I've seen a few post where it's fixed by putting a zip tie around one of the fork post to tighten it up. Sorry I don't have any pics to post. Maybe someone does.

I have done the same conversion and have the same problem with the throttle. I believe there is a way to calibrate the throttle in the controller. I have not done this but have looked it up. Hope this helps.
